Am I the only person who actually cried watching this lol? :') I can totally to both Dib and Zim for different reasons. Honestly I find it hard to make friends so weirdly enough I find the characters in Invader Zim as...friends I guess? I always wish I had an alien friend as a kid so maybe that's another reason why I love Invader Zim lol ^^

invader zim ended more than 20 years ago but we remain hopeful, since the film released in 2019 we keep hoping, amazing as it was just a silly cartoon at the time but the fandom turned it into a wonderful thing... a more serious version of the show that worked with that style of adventure for them

I want some kind of series or long fanfic or something where Zim learns he's not an invader, he was never an invader, the Tallest just want him gone and he isn't welcome back. In turn, he gives up trying to conquer and sets out to explore instead. He still vocalizes wanting to conquer Urth, but doesn't act like it any more. He goes through some depression, but finds his true heart in seeing the world with Dib, Gaz and Grr. (And maybe Tak? If it could be written in a way that worked)
